The jaws of these pincers are specially-rounded. When the jaws are viewed toward the handles, the gap between them is defined by two facing convex arcs, each of 40 mm radius. When seen from the side, each jaw has a radius of 30 mm. When closed, the jaws have a minimum internal spacing of 3 mm between them; the handles have a minimum internal spacing of 9 mm. An inner stop on the handles defines these spacings. A further, outer stop allows a maximum, externally-measured handle opening of 100 mm, and an internal jaw opening of 12 mm. All dimensions are approximate.
|
