<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antireflection film having low water vapor permeability and superior in high scratch resistance, antireflection effects, and anti-stain properties; and to provide a polarizer using the same, and an image display device. <P>SOLUTION: In the antireflection film; a coating layer formed from a coating liquid containing a polymer including a recurring unit derived from a chlorine-containing vinyl monomer, a compound having an ethylenic double bond, and a polymerization initiator and a low-refractive index layer having the refractive index of ≤1.46, are stacked on a transparent base film in this order. The water vapor transmission rate measured in the atmosphere of 60°C and the relative humidity of 95%, according to JIS-Z-0208, is ≤1,000 g/m<SP>2</SP>×day. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
