<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED lighting device which can directly drive by an alternating current power source and turn on a plurality of LEDs even though it is a simple circuit structure and prevents a fault of one LED from affecting other LEDs as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: An LED array 11 constructed by connecting a capacitor C1 and LED blocks 13, 14 in series, and an LED array 12 constructed by connecting a capacitor C2 and LED blocks 15, 16 in series are connected in parallel, and it is connected to the alternating current power source AC. In the LED block 13, two first series circuits comprising serially-connected LEDs 1 to 4 in the same direction, and two second series circuits comprising serially-connected LEDs 5 to 8 in the reverse direction are connected in parallel. Other LED blocks have also a similar structure. Further, between LED blocks 13 and 15, two LED connecting points of each first series circuit are coupled to each other, and two LED connecting points of each second series circuit are coupled to each other.
