PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that different mounting of an easy direct key and an OLC backlight illumination key causes an increase in the number of a camera operating members and operability is deteriorated, and that a display unit (OLC display) in which the illumination is operated with the OLC backlight key is not efficiently utilized while it is communicating with an external device or a printer. SOLUTION: A key is commonly used as the easy direct key and the OLC backlight key, and if the USB is inserted to turn on a direct print mode, the key operates as the easy direct key, otherwise, the key operates the OLC backlight illumination key. Also, when the apparatus is communicating with an external device such as a printer, the display unit (OLC display) is efficiently utilized, and the operating unit for the display unit is also efficiently utilized.
