PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of enhancing the housing efficiency of a waste toner container in edgeless printing. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a transfer roller which is pressed to an image carrier formed with a toner image and forms the image by transferring the toner image to a transfer material, a cleaning member which cleans the transfer roller by coming into contact with the transfer roller surface, and a waste toner housing container which houses the toner removed from the transfer roller. The apparatus has a waste toner diffusing means which is approximately parallel to the transfer roller and conveys the waste toner from both ends for the transfer roller toward the center within the waste toner housing container.
