PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular sun visor device for automatically controlling a sun visor, which is capable of preventing an occupant from having the feeling of discomfort with direct sunlight on his face before the sun visor blocks the light. SOLUTION: The future sunlight incident angle is calculated based on information from a navigation device 10, and the position of a face of an occupant is calculated based on the signal from an infrared ray sensor 22. Based on the future sunlight incident angle and the position of the face of the occupant, it is determined whether or not the situation where the sunlight hits the face of the occupant occurs in future. When it is determined that the situation occurs in future, the position of a sun visor 20 is changed to the position of blocking the incidence of the sunlight into a cabin before such a situation occurs.
