A device for driving a wave-field synthesis rendering device (3) with audio objects from which are generated synthesis signals which can be relayed through a number of loudspeakers (4). A device (8) supplies a scene description which defines a time sequence of audio-objects in an audio scene, and a device (0) processes the audio objects in order to generate the data stream for supplying to the wave-field synthesis rendering device (3).
