<p>A fluorescence detecting device which irradiates an object to be measured with a laser beam, receives florescence emitted from the object, and processes the florescence signal thus generated . The fluorescence signal detecting device comprises a laser light source part for emitting a laser beam with which the object is irradiated, a light receiving part for outputting a fluorescence signal of the fluorescence emitted from the object irradiated with the laser beam, a light source control part for generating a modulation signal of a predetermined frequency with which the intensity of the laser beam is time-modulated, and a processing part for computing the fluorescence relaxation time of the fluorescence emitted from the object by using the modulation signal from the fluorescence signal outputted from the light-receiving part when the object is irradiated with the time-modulated laser beam. From the detection values including the phase information on the fluorescence emitted from a labeled sample and collected by this device, the intensity of the fluorescence emitted from the labeled sample is determined.</p> |
