PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manifold assembly comprising a manifold which includes a regularly-patterned fluid conduit extending through it, and a platen attached to the manifold containing a plurality of sample receptor sections, equipped with both an inlet port and an outlet port, where each of these sample receptor sections has fluid communication with at least one fluid conduit of the manifold. SOLUTION: This manifold assembly for automated texture processing is equipped with the manifold and the platen attached to the manifold and includes the regularly-patterned fluid conduit extending through it, while the platen includes a plurality of sample receptor sections, equipped with both an inlet port and an outlet port for each of these sample receptor sections to have fluid communication with at least one fluid conduit of the manifold.
