PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication apparatus in which a third generation wireless communication apparatus can judge and connect a circuit switching system and a packet switching system exactly without correcting the software of an external apparatus being connected with the wireless communication apparatus when a second generation wireless communication apparatus is replaced by the third generation wireless communication apparatus. SOLUTION: The wireless communication apparatus being connected with an external apparatus and performing data communication has a table where the destination name is associated with the dial number. When a dial number is received from an external apparatus, a decision is made whether there is a relevant dial number on the table or not.
