PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer device capable of reading out image data at a high speed in an order reverse to that in writing by a buffer memory of small capacity. SOLUTION: A write control part 11m of a buffer unit 10m writes the image data of the first line in an ascending order from a memory address 1 of a RAM 12m. A read control part 13m reads out the image data of the first line in descending order from the memory address in which the last data of the image data in the first line is written. The write control part 11m writes the image data on and after the second line in the RAM 12m in address designated order in the same order as address designated order when reading the image data of one line before. The read control part 13m reads out the image data on and after the second line from the RAM 12m in address designated order opposite to the order of address designated order when the write control part 11m writes the image data of the same line in the RAM 12m.
