PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage control device capable of changing the device configuration scalably. SOLUTION: A storage control blade is provided with an interface part to be connected with a host computer or a disk device, a processor part for controlling the configuration of the storage control device and data access, a memory part for storing a cache for data, and configuration information on the interface part and the processor part, and a mutual connection part for connecting the interface part, the processor part and the memory part mutually, and for connecting with another storage control blade. The processor part recognizes a connection mode with the another storage control blade via a mutual connection mechanism, and sets a connection path to the another storage control blade for the mutual connection part based on the recognized connection mode.
