PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity storage device for vending machine configured not to cause commodity standing or clogging even in storage of barrel-shaped cans besides general cans and PET containers. SOLUTION: In a commodity passage 1 formed between side plates 2a and 2b laterally opposed with a space of 210 mm to 240 mm, the adjusting position of a passage width adjusting plate 5 is set to a width of 45% to 56% of a maximum passage adjusting width. According to this, the passage width can be set to a narrow position where no large force is generated in the direction of the passage width adjusting plate 5, and even a passage capable of selling large commodities thus causes no commodity standing or clogging even in sales of a commodity with a shape having a total length shorter than that of a 350-ml can and a large body diameter swollen in the center such as a barrel-shaped can, because the passage width adjusting plate 5 is never extended.
