PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method and a display apparatus fully suppressing occurrence of jaggies and color fringing etc., while reducing occurrence of image blur by a simple method. SOLUTION: In the image processing method of the invention in which first image data having sub-pixel image data corresponding to a plurality of colors are converted to a second image data for the display apparatus in which pixel positions in adjoining rows are shifted and arranged, a plurality of adjoining sub-pixel image data in the same row are held in the sup-pixel image data, and the second image data is generated by generating one pixel data for each of the plurality of colors on the basis of the plurality of adjoining sub-pixel image data of the same color in the sub-pixel image data which is held.
