PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophoresis display apparatus having electrooptical characteristics of high contrast and display image memory properties after an electric field is applied. SOLUTION: In the electrophoresis display apparatus having a pair of substrates 4a and 4b, at least one electrode 5a and 5b formed on at least one substrate of the substrates and a suspension containing colored charged migration particles 1 absorbing light, transparent particles 2 transmitting light and a dispersion medium 3 dispersing the colored charged migration particles and the transparent particles, the suspension has≤0.01 Pa s shear viscosityη<SB>0</SB>at≥10 sec<SP>-1</SP>shear rate at 20°C and the shear viscosityηof the suspension at 20°C satisfiesη≥η<SB>0</SB>in at least the range of 1 to 10 sec<SP>-1</SP>shear rate.
