PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the positions of a lock pin and a lock hole from being displaced from each other by accurately positioning the lock pin and the lock hole in installation. SOLUTION: To secure the excellent startability of an engine, the lock pin 31 in a vane 21 is engaged with the lock hole 29 formed in a press-fitted member 28 fixed to a housing body 11 so that the free rotation of a vane member 7 relative to a housing 5 can be arrested. An eccentric lock hole is rotated normally and reversely by normally and reversely rotating the press-fitted member 28 in a holding housing 27 formed in the housing body 11 to adjust the positions of the lock hole relative to the tip part 31a of the lock pin. Then, the press-fitted member is press-fitted into the holding hole through a step part 28c so as to easily and securely adjust these positions relative to each other. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
