DAMPING DEVICE FOR CHIMNEY STACK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping device for a chimney stack which is easy to install and capable of absorbing shocks in every direction while a service life of the chimney stack can be elongated. SOLUTION: The damping device 1 for chimney stack is installed in a double-structured chimney stack 2 with an outer cylinder 21 and an inner cylinder 22. The invention is provided with a dynamic vibration absorber 1 having a support member 11 which is fixed on a floor part 21a formed inside of the outer cylinder 21, a mass member 12 horizontally movable on the support member 11 and a spring member 14 energizing for restoring the mass member 12 to the predetermined position on the support member 11. The spring member 14 is a linear spring member 14 having a curving portion 14a of an almost hemicycle-shape. The linear spring member 14 is arranged in such a way that the face formed with the curving portion 14a of the linear spring member 14 is almost horizontal to the support member 11.
