PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper vehicle body structure for an open car preventing large size of a front roof header while a lock mechanism is installed at a central position in a vehicle width direction of a front roof header and a room lamp is also installed at a center in a vehicle width direction in order to facilitate opening/closing work of a hood member of the open car. SOLUTION: Mounting parts 52a, 52a of a striker 52 installed on a lower surface of the front roof header 3 are constituted in a fork shape so as to straddle the room lamp 4 in plan view.
