PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components, to narrow or miniaturize a non-printed region and to stabilize cutting quality. SOLUTION: A fixed blade 4 and a movable blade 5 which are allowed to intersect each other when cutting a sheet material are provided to a portion at a downstream side in a conveyance direction of the sheet material with respect to a printing section having a thermal head 2 for printing and a platen roller 3. The rear end of the fixed blade 4 is rotatably pivoted to a support section 6 and the lower face of the fixed blade 4 contacts an outer circumference of the platen roller 3 at the upper section thereof. When the movable blade 5 is slid to a side of the fixed blade 4 by a sliding mechanism 7, the movable blade 5 rides on the fixed blade 4 at a receptive section 8 to overlap with the fixed blade 4, and then the movable blade 5 presses the fixed blade 4 against the outer circumference of the platen roller 3.
