PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool which can obtain high anti-theft effect without deteriorating usability. SOLUTION: The electric tool is equipped with an authentication part 3 performing transmitting/receiving of information related to the right for using the tool between an unit 2 for authentication worn by a user and the tool, and a control part 15 maintaining the tool in a usable state by receiving the output for confirming the use right for the tool from the authentication part 3 performing the authentication operation or the unit 2 for authentication. The transmitter/receiver part for transmitting/receiving the information between the unit 2 for authentication and the authentication part 3 can transmit/receive in the state wherein the user wearing the unit 2 for authentication contacts the tool. The user not wearing the appropriate unit 2 for authentication cannot use the tool, and the user wearing the appropriate unit 2 for authentication does not need to be aware of the authentication for the anti-theft.
