PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of rolling a magnesium alloy sheet for forming exhibiting excellent rolling workability and forming workability in the temperature range from room temperature to 350°C and capable of obtaining a vessel having a high drawing ratio, and to provide a method of forming a magnesium alloy sheet rolled using the method. SOLUTION: A magnesium alloy sheet is coated with an organic resin such as a water soluble urethane resin, a water soluble polyester resin, a water soluble acrylic resin and a water soluble epoxy resin, or with an organic resin obtained by incorporating a silane coupling agent, colloidal silica, a lubricant or the like into the same resin, or with an organic resin comprising a heat resistance impartment agent as well, so as to be a magnesium alloy sheet for forming, and rolling or forming is performed thereto in the temperature range from room temperature to 350°C.
