The invention relates to a method for the cost-effective transmission of signalling data by means of a switching system comprising a first mostly highly reliable message distribution system (NVSA), using at least one other message distribution system (NVSB). According to said method, the signalling data is divided in the emitting peripheral appliance (PEl, PE2, PE3), into a part which is relevant to the switching system and a part which is not relevant to the switching system. The data relevant to the switching system is transmitted by means of the first message distribution system NVSA, and the data which is not relevant to the switching system is transmitted by means of the at least one other message distribution system (NVSB). Both parts can be joined together again in the receiving peripheral device (PEl, PE2, PE3) to form the original signalling data. Furthermore, a stand-alone error detection process for the at least one other message distribution system (NVSB) runs in the peripheral appliances (PEl, PE2, PE3), giving rise to a deviation of the data which is not relevant to the switching system by means of the original message distribution system (NVSA), in the event of error, or the use of a functional, redundant peripheral device (PE3). |
