A visual representation of the stump, which could be the thigh of the patient after an amputation of the lower leg, is created in a first step using a computer-tomograph or a magnet-resonance-tomograph. A three-dimensional model is then constructed taking the specific condition of the muscles and the layers of fatty tissue into account as well as the compression areas. The model is manufactured by a CNC-operated device.
