<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-size and lightweight heat pump water heater. <P>SOLUTION: This water heater boiling water by performing heat exchange between a high-temperature refrigerant of a heat pump circuit 10 and the water of a water circulation circuit 22 by a water heat exchanger 11 is set as an instantaneous heating type wherein temperature of the water introduced from a water supply pipe 16 is increased by the water heat exchanger 11 to supply the hot water to a use terminal 27 as it is, to dispenes with a conventional large-size hot water storage tank. Since condensation heat sufficient to heat water cannot be generated until a pressure condition just after an operation start of the heat pump circuit 10 is stabilized, hot water stored in a hot water supply tank 13 and the water from the water heat exchanger 11 are mixed and supplied during a short time in rising, so that the hot water supply tank 13 can be miniaturized while keeping set temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
