<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a vehicular transmission in a power transmission passage ranging from an engine to a driving wheel, automatically coping with the irregularity of a control hydraulic pressure sensor for detecting driving control hydraulic pressure of an automatic shift control device. <P>SOLUTION: When finding the irregularity of the control hydraulic pressure sensor for detecting driving control hydraulic pressure P<SB>B</SB>of the automatic shift control device using the discharge pressure of a hydraulic pump as original pressure, the original pressure P<SB>A</SB>is automatically lowered. This suppresses the lower controllability of the automatic shift control device with high pressure due to the impossible control of the driving control hydraulic pressure P<SB>B</SB>and prevents the application of shifting overload.
