Method of modifying the coupling geometry in shroud band segments of turbine blades

The method of modification of the coupling geometry of the cover segments (7) of a turbine vane involves computing a modified geometry and levelling the cover segment material which extends beyond the modified geometry. This is followed by application of additional material (13) outside the existing modified coupling geometry. The removal and deposition areas are then further worked.
