<p>This invention provides a process for preparing a cellulose capsule with enhanced mechanical film strength comprising the steps of : i) preparing an aqueous solution of solubilized cellulose; ii) adding sucrose fatty acid ester, potassium pyrophosphate and glacial acetic acid to the aqueous solution of solubilized cellulose; iii) adding a mixed solution of iota-carageenan and agar to the resulting admixture; and iv) allowing the product obtained to stand, adjusting its viscosity and forming a capsule from it.</p> |
