<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent sequence operation including an ON operation of a main relay from failing due to voltage lowering of a low voltage power source in engine starting. <P>SOLUTION: A starter motor connected to the low voltage power source, a generating motor coupled to an engine through a clutch, a relay connecting the generating motor to a high voltage power source, and a plurality of controllers (ECU) are provided. When the engine is started by key operation, the possibility that the voltage of the low voltage power source at the time of engine starting is lower than a predetermined operation assuring voltage is assumed (S1 to S3).
