<p>A stranded wire rope has plastics wedges between the outer strands, the wedges engaging under the outer strands in dovetail-like manner and curving radially outwardly between the strands to form bulges the outer points of which are located on a larger diameter than the outer points of the strands. The plastics wedges are preferably of a polyamide material and may combine to cover the strands.</p> |
