METHOD OF DETERMINING INDICATIONS FOR PERFORMING ANTIOXIDANT THERAPY IN CHILDREN SUFFERING FROM INFECTION PATHOLOGY

FIELD: clinical laboratory diagnostics and infection diseases. ^ SUBSTANCE: method resides in that determination of indications for performing antioxidant therapy is accomplished by estimating intensity of free-radical oxidation in lymphocytes. For this objective, chemiluminescence reaction is used involving Henks solution in complex with Luminol and hydroperoxide to initiated free-radical oxidation and chemiluminescence intensity in lymphocytes is measured. In case of low level of summary chemiluminescence (below 60.10-3 pulse/min) directed antioxidant therapy is contra-indicated; at high summary chemiluminescence level (from 100.10-3 to 300.10-3 pulse/min), vitamins-antioxidants are administered; and at ultrahigh summary chemiluminescence level (above 300.10-3 pulse/min), directed antioxidant therapy is administered. ^ EFFECT: increased information value of indication determination and enabled differentiated prescription of antioxidant therapy. ^ 5 tbl, 3 ex
