FIELD: machine engineering, possibly mechanic assembling production processes at riveting operations. ^ SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of forming opening in parts to joined by riveting; placing rivet with embedded head into said opening; preliminarily forming on embedded head and on end of rivet rod dead central cone openings. Annular grooves are formed in addition on embedded head and simultaneously closing head of rivet is formed at applying axial effort to zone of dead central opening of rod and rivet is squeezed. Then head is finish formed by deforming annular grooves and dead cone opening of head. ^ EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability and resource of formed rivet joint. ^ 3 dwg
