CLEANING HEAD FOR VACUUM CLEANER

FIELD: cleaning devices for vertical and cylindrical type vacuum cleaners. ^ SUBSTANCE: cleaning head has casing with suction aperture provided through surface facing floor surface, suction channel for directing contaminated air from suction aperture through cleaning head toward discharge end thereof, and inlet vent aperture provided in casing and closed with regulating valve adapted for admission of air into suction channel through inlet vent aperture. Cleaning head is further equipped with member intended for transmitting force and connected or to be connected with handle used for moving said cleaning head over floor surface during employment of said cleaning head. Force transmitting member is connected to casing through joint permitting relative motion between force transmitting member and casing. Regulating valve is automatically opened depending upon value of force needed for moving said cleaning head over floor surface regardless of direction of motion of cleaning head, and also opened depending on value of relative motion between force transmitting value and casing. Cleaning head is adapted to be positioned within vacuum cleaner. Cleaning head of such construction allows force needed for moving thereof in forward or backward direction over surface under cleaning procedure to be reduced without necessity for initial physical movement of cleaning head over said surface and maximum level of force needed for moving cleaning head over surface to be cleaned to be ensured. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. ^ 21 cl, 14 dwg
