A harmonic system designed to minimize the drag in the semi-planning range o f a vessel. The vibratory generator is tuned with respect to the fundamental frequency of the vessel at the onset of planning and to the spectra of the vortex sheet. As the vessel speed increases to planning speeds, a sympathetic vibration occurs that assist in overcoming the trans-planning region of the vessel.</S DOAB>
