The process involves emission of acknowledgements for data packets, by a terminal (21), via a telecommunication network inter-connected to a broadcast network via a router. Following packets are transmitted towards the terminal if the acknowledgements are emitted. The data is transmitted via the broadcast network at a diffusion rate which follows variations in direction opposed to variations in delay of the acknowledgement transmission. - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a system for communication of data packets between a server and a terminal.
