摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly and quickly change communication capacity in a communication path between computing nodes in an information processing system for executing parallel processing by using a plurality of computing nodes. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of computing nodes 11 are connected through a wavelength selection switch 14, and each of the computing nodes 11 is provided with an optical signal output part 12 and an optical signal input part 13 for transmitting/receiving optical signals with multiple wavelengths. Different wavelengths are respectively assigned to the computing nodes 11, and the optical signals with wavelength corresponding to the computing nodes 11 at communication destinations are transmitted through communication between the computing nodes 11. In the wavelength selection switch 14, the optical signals are guided to the target computing nodes 11, and outputted to the optical signal input part 13 so that inter-computing node communication can be attained.
