PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical system highly efficient in using light with fewer optical components. SOLUTION: This optical system is built by including: a radiation module to radiate a plurality of beams of a width d with a pitch D; at least one or more spectroscopic prisms to separate the above collimated beams to form color beams in a range of n different wavelengths in a width d+D; a spectroscopic module which has n different reflection areas different in thickness and includes a reflection color wheel to alternately reflect the color beams divided by the spectroscopic prisms; an image forming unit which adjusts the color beams of the module to project as the color beams having image patterns; and a projector lens to project the above image pattern color beams to a required area.
