PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a conventional optical connector of a type assembled on the site has a defect that a connection substrate 10 is broken at the bottom part P near a guard part 12 at which stress is concentrated by the principle of leverage when bending stress in radial direction is applied to the connection substrate 10 via an optical fiber core wire (cord) or directly because a ferrule is tightly fixed with a split sleeve. SOLUTION: A spacer is arranged between a slider and a stop ring to narrow the gap between them while keeping the slide of them. Thus, a portion of the bending stress in the radial direction applied on the connection plug is borne by the slider, and the break of the connection substrate is prevented.
