PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus which can suppress vibrations from a carriage driving source etc. during carriage scanning. SOLUTION: This inkjet recording apparatus comprises: a carriage which is equipped with a recording head for performing recording on a recording medium, and which performs reciprocating scanning; a guide means for guiding the reciprocating scanning of the carriage; the driving source for driving the reciprocating scanning of the carriage; a belt means for transferring a driving power from the driving source to the carriage; and a belt holding member for holding the belt means. Characteristically, the belt holding member is attached in such a manner as to be turnable with respect to the carriage in a position different from that of a part corresponding to the thickness-direction outside or inside of the belt means.
