PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the cutting of a gate runner section of a soft plastic molding at a position as close as possible to a root section. SOLUTION: A gate runner cutting apparatus is comprised of a nipper 1 which consists of two blade bodies 11 and 12 incorporated in an X-shape on a O1 point, a pressure plate 5 which is provided on the side of the blade body 11 forming the nipper 1 and executes the pressurizing motion to a main body part 9 of the plastic molding, and an actuator 2 which pressurizes the pressure plate 5 and cut the gate runner section 99 provided the side of the main body part 9 of the plastic molding by the nipper 1. The nipper 1 has the two blade bodies 11 and 12 which are equipped with single edge type blade sections 111 and 121 at their respective end sides and are incorporated in the X-shape.
