<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system with a structure capable of detecting plugging of an air filter with high certainty without installing a pressure sensor at the front and rear of the air filter. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system has an air filter 44 for removing impurities in the oxidant gas at the upstream side of a compressor 42 for supplying the oxidant gas. The fuel cell system has a real consumption power measuring means for measuring the real consumption power of the compressor consumed at the time of operation of the compressor, a consumption power estimation means which estimates and calculates the consumption power of the compressor based on the parameter other than the real consumption power measured at the time of operation of the compressor, and an air filter abnormality detection means which detects plugging abnormality of the air filter based on corresponding relations between the measured value of the real consumption power and the estimated calculation value of the consumption power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
