<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact connector for flexible wiring boards with which ease, certainty or reliability of connection of flexible wiring boards such as FPC and FFC can be improved. <P>SOLUTION: In the connector housing 5 of the connector for the flexible wiring boards, a diaphragm 6 bent in a crank shape is installed to dispose a flexible wiring board 1 which is inserted from a insertion mouth 3, and a flexible wiring board 2 which is inserted from another insertion mouth 4 on both sides of a main diaphragm body 6A, respectively. A plurality of notching holes 7 for setting electrically connecting tips 8 are formed on the main diaphragm body 6A. Upper ends of the electrically connecting tips 8 contact closely to upper portion of the connector housing 5, their lower ends contact closely to lower portion of the connector housing 5, and thus the upper ends and the lower ends of the electrically connecting tips 8 are made to contact with circuit conductors 1A and 2A on respective exposed ends of the flexible wiring boards 1 and 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
