PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having a color scanner function capable of correctly and automatically summing up answer sheets on which results of decision whether the answer is correct or incorrect are marked. SOLUTION: On an answer sheet, a user writes the result of decision whether the answer is correct or incorrect in a specified shape such as a○mark by using pens of previously specified colors of a blue, a green, or a red for example. On the other hand, weight (distribution of score) is previously set for one mark in each color (in the example in the figure, blue is 5 points, green is 10 points, and red is 20 points). Then, a sheet reader section is made to read the answer sheets with the marks, made to recognize the color and image, made to recognize the mark in each color, and made to count the score. The counting result is summed for each color, the total score is obtained, and is printed as shown in an reference number A6. In the example in the figure, blue○is one as shown as B1, green○are three as shown as G1, G2, G3, and red○are two as shown as R1 and R2, and the summed-up result is 75 points.
