Compounds of the formula <FORM:0973028/C4-C5/1> where R1 is iso-alkanoyl, e.g. iso-butyryl or iso-valeryl, are prepared in a manner analogous to that of Specifications 788,384 and 788,390, viz. reacting in pyridine the zinc chloride double salt of leuco-methylene glue with the appropriate iso-alkanoyl chloride in place of the acyl halides of the prior Specification. Specifications 804,087 and 845,939 also are referred to.
