<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card writer capable of issuing a thermal card indicating photographic data without requiring a considerable time till the issuance of the card. <P>SOLUTION: The card writer 1 is equipped mainly with a control part 10, a thermal head 24a, an erasing head 25a and a CCD camera 40. By picking up an image by the CCD camera 40, the photographic data are inputted to the card writer 1. By actuating the thermal head 24a, image data formed on the basis of the photographic data are recorded on an indication part of the card 80. Thereby the card 80 containing the photographic data can be issued immediately.
