<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely carry out printing without a frame or printing with a frame according to the desire of a user only by simply detecting a paper size without increasing the precision of a paper detection function in a printer. <P>SOLUTION: A printer driver stored in an external storage device 104 acquires a paper size group specified by a printer 112 in which the paper size group is specified from a paper width detection result by a paper width sensor 116, and regulates a size to be rasterized based on a standard size to the acquired paper size group and a print setting including printing with/without a frame for generating a print image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
