<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing original plate capable of image recording with a laser, having high printing durability and excellent in thin line reproducibility. <P>SOLUTION: The lithographic printing original plate has on a support an undercoat layer containing a copolymer having (a1) a repeating unit containing at least one ethylenically unsaturated bond and (a2) a repeating unit containing at least one functional group which interacts with a support surface, a photosensitive layer containing (A) a sensitizing dye, (B) a polymerization initiator, (C) a polymerizable compound and (D) a binder polymer, and a protective layer, in this order.
