PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data transmission method simplified capable of avoiding erroneous-transmission. SOLUTION: A destination, contents, and a sender are printed on a front side of an original 31, and a radio ID tag 32 for storing the data are attached to the original 31, a CCD sensor 17 of a scanner 9 optically reads the image of the original 31, an RF-ID reader 19 electromagnetically reads the data from the radio ID tag 32, and in the case of transmitting the image data of the original, the image data are generated on the basis of the data read from the radio ID tag 32, the image data are attached to the image data of the original 31, and the resulting data are transmitted to the destination read from the radio ID tag 32.
