PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lever device capable of obtaining excellent soundproof effect without generating a large resistance in the motion of a lever. SOLUTION: The shift lever device 10 comprises a base plate 20, a control lever 30 which is movable with respect to the base plate 20 and passes through an opening 1a formed in a floor panel 1 of a vehicle, a boot 40 which has a through hole 41a with the control lever inserted therein and closes the opening 1a of the floor panel 1, a space part 50 formed of the base plate 20, the control lever 30 and the boot 40, and a soundproof member 60 provided in the space part 50 in contact with the control lever 30. The space part 50 has a non-loading unit 51 having no soundproof member 60. A contact face 61 of the soundproof member 60 with the control lever 30 is tightly attached to the control lever 30 in a relatively non-movable manner. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
