The invention relates to a glass composition for production of glazing absorbing ultraviolet and infrared radiation, comprising the following oxides with a content by weight varying within the given limits SiO<SUB>2</SUB> 65 - 80 %, AI<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> 0 - 5 %, B<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> 0 - 5 %, CaO 5 - 15 %, MgO 0 - 2 %, Na<SUB>2</SUB>O 9 - 18 %, K<SUB>2</SUB>O 0 - 10 %, BaO 0 - 5 %, characterised in further comprising the following absorbing agents with a content by weight varying within the given limits: Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> (total iron) 0.7 - 1.6 %, CeO<SUB>2</SUB> 0.1 - 1.2 % TiO<SUB>2</SUB> 0 - 1.5 % the glass having a redox factor less than or equal to 0.23 and having no tungsten oxide WO<SUB>3</SUB>. |
