A robot cell (1) for changing and storing elements, such as tools (11) and/or products (13). The robot cell comprises a robot (3) that is suitable for picking up and moving elements (11, 12, 13) from outside the robot cell (1) to inside the robot cell (1) and vice versa; a wall, at least partially installed around the robot (3), that has an interchange station (5) to enable the movement of elements (11, 12, 13) which have to be changed or stored, from outside to inside and from inside to outside the robot cell (1) using the robot (3); a magazine section (4) on the inside of the wall, which has at least two locations; and a control unit (24) for controlling the robot (3). The robot cell (1) furthermore has a first processor (23) and a memory, which are connected to one another. When an element (11, 12, 13) is placed in the interchange station (5), the processor (23) selects a suitable locatio in the robot cell (1) on the basis of data from the memory. |
